Role Overview
Healthcare Recruiters Ltd (HCR) is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to support patients across mental health hospitals, psychiatric units, and other relevant healthcare settings in the UK.
The successful candidates will deliver safe, effective, and person-centred mental health nursing care, supporting patient recovery, wellbeing, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised mental health care plans.
- Administer medication safely in accordance with clinical policies and professional standards.
- Monitor patients’ mental and physical health, identifying and escalating concerns promptly.
- Support patients experiencing mental health crises and challenging behaviour.
- Apply appropriate de-escalation techniques and PMVA interventions in line with current training and local policies.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure effective handovers.
- Promote safeguarding, patient dignity, confidentiality, and recovery-focused care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Active NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid PIN.
- Minimum of 6 months’ relevant UK nursing experience in a mental health setting.
- Current and valid PMVA certificate.
- Valid Enhanced DBS certificate, preferably registered with the DBS Update Service.
- Required vaccinations and occupational health clearance in line with placement requirements.
- Valid right to work in the UK.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient management skills.
