The Role
As a Midwife or Gynaecology Nurse, you will provide specialist care and support to women across maternity and gynaecology services, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to women and their families.
- Support women throughout antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care where required.
- Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Assist with assessments, clinical observations, and care planning.
- Support women undergoing gynaecological procedures, treatments, and recovery.
- Administer medications and treatments safely in line with clinical guidelines.
- Provide emotional support, education, and reassurance to patients and families.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with midwives, doctors, nurses, and wider multidisciplinary teams.
- Promote safeguarding, infection prevention, and patient-centred care.
Essential Requirements
- Current NMC Registration as a Midwife or Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 6 months’ UK experience within maternity or gynaecology services.
- Previous experience within maternity units, gynaecology wards, women’s health services, or related settings.
- Valid Enhanced DBS.
- Professional references covering the last 3 years of employment.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Compassionate approach with excellent patient care values.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Right to work in the UK.
